Rickett Architects
RIBA Chartered Practice. Qualified design since 1972
About us
Rickett Architects is committed to the development of a built environment that’s sensitive to its context, commercially viable and sustainable for generations to come.
Established in 1972 and a RIBA Chartered Practice, our primary expertise lies in the residential and care sectors. We collaborate with our planning consultants (members of the Royal Town Planning Institute) to deliver creative and practical design solutions.
We follow the RIBA Plan of Work 2020 to ensure an orderly framework and project clarity from the outset. First, we conduct feasibility studies and a project review. This includes site visits and a review of details such as title information, planning history and highways and infrastructure constraints.
This process is led either by a chartered planning consultant or chartered architect and entails the preparation of concept designs and planning strategies. At this stage, we’ll conduct public and stakeholder consultations, manage the design team, and submit and manage planning applications. We can also provide planning appeal advice and management.
During this phase the design is developed to meet the required technical standards to meet building regulations and incorporate sustainability strategies. We’ll also oversee integration of legal and regulatory requirements, as well as preparing a HM Land Registry-compliant transfer and title plans.
Rickett Architects deliver a first rate, professional service and we look forward to working together on future schemes.
